What Sprout and Bean Families are Saying:
"Everyone’s nervous about having a baby - especially their first! What should you expect (knowing full well that everyone’s labor experiences are different)? Will everything go well with the labor and delivery? Is my body even equipped to do this great work? Through Connie’s birthing classes, I learned the answers to many of these questions.
Connie’s personable teaching manner immediately put me at ease which allowed me to fully absorb her informative sessions. She consistently incorporated hands-on experiences and also implemented helpful visuals, both of which greatly supported her strong verbal communication skills and allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the presented material.
Each class, Connie provided time for us to ask our specific questions, and she also made herself available to answer questions outside of class. When she didn’t know the answer to a question (which happened once in my 14 hours of classes with her), she researched the answer and quickly communicated it to our class. Her follow-up emails always contained the digital information presented in that class or additional research. By having the materials and access to a Connie’s wealth of knowledge, I felt empowered and informed going into labor and delivery.
Finally, one experience that I really appreciated and found unique about Connie’s birthing classes is that she started each class with a check-in and ended each class with a time of reflection. By doing this consistently, it was obvious that Connie saw us all as “whole” people and not just pregnant clients. Additionally, through hearing other people’s responses, our group developed a wider sense of who everyone was which naturally promoted a strong sense of community that continued outside the classroom.
While we all know that birth education is important, I would venture to say that WHO you take your classes from determines their actual value. And, for us, taking birth education classes from Connie was priceless!"

"How do I begin to talk about the person who has been there for me emotionally and physically during all of my pregnancies, my labor, and ultimately the birth of my three children? Aside from your partner, you won't find anyone who will support you, encourage you, comfort you and care for you in the way that Connie does. She is knowledgeable, kind, and above all dedicated to caring for moms and babies. I wouldn't trade my experiences with her for anything in the world and feel so blessed that she was able to be there for us in such an emotional, intense, and happy time.
Connie also is exactly who you want to be around when things aren't so happy. New motherhood is hard. Breastfeeding is hard. Sleep deprivation is hard. Having someone like Connie around to help you out during those first few weeks, especially if you don't have family around, will be one of the best decisions that you make. Even with lots of family support, hiring someone like Connie to help you out can be a game changer. Her skill set and knowledge aren't what you'll get from family; she's a professional and stays informed on what new moms and babies need and need to know.
Above all, this is a time where you need to connect with your baby and the first few weeks are vital for experiencing a positive postpartum period. Let Connie help you. Let her support you and your partner. Let her share her experience, knowledge, and advice with you. You won't regret it."
