The Birth Doula provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to the mother and her partner before, during and just after birth. Connie is a DONA trained birth doula (2010) and a certified Hypnobabies Hypno-doula with experience supporting families is various settings and using a broad range of comfort and support tools. Connie believes that women should be empowered to make choices that they feel are best for them before, during and after their birthing time and her role is to be an advocate that supports those choices. A doula can be instrumental in creating a peaceful, joyful environment as a family welcomes a new member. She not only supports the mother, but also her birth partner and any other important people present. Please contact Connie for more information about inviting her into your birth space at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Postpartum Doula works with families in the postpartum period; offering support, information, instruction, comfort, and referrals as needed. Connie is a CAPPA trained postpartum doula (2016) and also uses her own experience as a mother to serve new and growing families during the wonderful and challenging early days of parenthood. As a Certified Lactation Educator Connie can provide evidence-based breastfeeding support including how to get off to a great start, understanding pumping and pump care, proper breastmilk storage, and when to seek other professional help for concerns and challenges. Connie offers postpartum doula services on a sliding scale and is available at short notice for families needing support. Please email, call or text her at email@example.com, 336-404-4703.
